This feature requires Enable CallerID dropdown functionality in the Telephony Portal (former 'Use My Number' Configuration in the Telephony Portal) configuration to be done by the Velvetel portal administrator

Sometimes companies have rules for displaying operator phone numbers, e.g. local presence or official company number. However, it can be necessary to show the operator's direct number. Use my number CallerID dropdown feature allows operators to use their direct phone numbers. This feature becomes available for Velvetel and RingCentral telephony. 


1. To activate the Use my number CallerID dropdown feature, go to the User profile (Fig. 1).

2. Click the [Call Center parameters setup] button (Fig. 2).

3. Fill in [Caller Number] and [Caller Name] fields and select [P-Preferred-Identity] in the [Extra Header] field ([P-Asserted-Identity] if you use RingCentral, Fig. 3). Save the changes and refresh the page.

4. Make sure that the checkbox is active. Select the [Use my number] checkbox (Fig. 4) to show your direct phone number and make a call. The added phone number should be available in the CallerID dropdown in the CTI panel
