Setting up Bria Mobile Phone App

This instruction covers the steps of setting up the Bria iOS/Android app to be able to receive and make internal calls via Velvetel using your mobile device

General Settings

  1. Install the Bria app (iOS / Android) and register there:

    1. Apple Store link ‎Bria Mobile: VoIP Softphone

    2. Google Play link https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.counterpath.bria&hl=en&gl=US&pli=1

  2. Click on the Settings in the bottom right corner and click Accounts (Fig. 1)

  3. In the opened window click on the '+' button (Fig. 2)

  4. In the opened window click on the VoIP (SIP) - Calling (Fig. 3)

  5. You should now be able to see the setup window of the account (Fig. 4)

  6. To fill it in, you will need the set up the device in Velvetel

    1. Log in to the Velvetel portal with your credentials

      1. US cluster - https://portal.velvetel.net/monster-ui/

      2. EU cluster - https://portal-eu.pbx-cloud.velvetel.net/monster-ui/

    2. In the right upper corner click on the ‘App’ icon (Fig. 5)

    3. Click on the ‘Smart PBX’ icon (Fig. 6)

      * Available applications can differ from the displayed picture

    4. Select the ‘User’ section (1) and click on the ‘Device’ cell (2) of the required user (Fig. 7)

    5. Click on the ‘New Device’ (1) and in the drop-down select ‘Soft Phone' (Fig. 8 )

    6. Set a friendly device name, e.g. %USER%'s Bria softphone, and copy SIP username, SIP password, Realm and press ‘Create Device’ and Save Changes (Fig. 9)

  7. Fill in the information in the Bria app (Fig. 10 and Fig. 11)

    1. Set a friendly Account Name, e.g. %USER%'s device

    2. Set Username to the SIP username from step 6.f

    3. Set Password to the SIP password from step 6.f

    4. Set Domain to the Realm from step 6.f

    5. Slide the Enabled slider and agree to the prompt

  8. After these steps, you should be able to see that the Account is registered (Fig. 12)

  9. Now, you can receive and make calls through the Velvetel telephony within the Bria app
